Jane Young

Evgenia Aknazarova, professionally known as Jane Young, began her musical journey at the age of ten, studying violin alongside classical voice. During her second year as a violin student at the Glinka Nizhny Novgorod State Conservatoire, she began taking private pop and jazz vocal lessons outside the conservatoire. This experience played a defining role in shaping her artistic direction as a singer.

Alongside her conservatoire studies, Evgenia performed with a Baroque music ensemble and appeared at numerous festivals across Russia and Europe. She received scholarships to attend masterclasses at the International Holland Music Sessions in both 2006 and 2007. In 2009, she participated in the International Music Forum in Slovenia. After graduating from the conservatoire in 2010, she won second prize at the International Grand Prix vocal competition in St. Petersburg. In 2021, she reached the semifinals of the American Traditions Vocal Competition.

Since 2018, Evgenia has built an international career as a singer and violinist in the circus industry. Her engagements have included Swiss Dream Circus in 2018, 2019, 2023, and 2025; Salto Natale in 2021; and Circus Knie in 2023, 2024, and currently. These productions have allowed her to combine vocals, violin, movement, and theatrical performance on major stages.

In 2020, she released her album My Wings of Desire. Alongside her live career, Evgenia has worked as a session singer and violinist for a wide range of musical projects since 2018. She is now developing her original artist project, Jane Young, bringing together expressive vocals and violin.
